Galaxy S

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025. This lineup is always the first launch for the new year and Samsung hasn't disappointed this year. The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra bring significant improvements and subtle, yet meaningful design upgrades that elevate the user experience.

What fans will like the most is that the entire lineup comes with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset across the globe. There's no Exynos variant this time, so all users will have access to the same performance and feature set. The device is thinner and lighter than its predecessor.

Samsung has fitted a slightly larger 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It has 1~120Hz adaptive refresh rate as well. While the 200-megapixel main, 50-megapixel telephoto with 5x and 10-megapixel telephoto with 3x optical zoom have remained the same, the ultra-wide has been bumped up to a 50-megapixel sensor. A 12-megapixel selfie camera is included as well. It also has a 5,000mAh battery.

Customers will get the best user experience on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It's a beautiful device with subtle curves and rounded edges that make it very comfortable to hold. The display is in a class of its own and the chipset powers new AI experiences at unprecedented speed. One change that some users may not like is that the S Pen no longer has Bluetooth features.

Galaxy Fan Edition

Samsung skipped a generation in 2022 and came out with the Galaxy S23 FE in October 2023. The company capitalized on the popularity of the Galaxy S23 series with this device and it received a good response from customers. It strayed a bit from tradition and instead of shipping with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset in all markets, it also comes with the Exynos 2200 chipset in some markets.

The device can be bought with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. It feels more premium compared to its predecessor due to its aluminum frame. The design is in familiar territory with no out of the ordinary changes. The front is dominated by a 6.4-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 60-120Hz refresh rate.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S23 FE with a 50-megapixel primary camera alongside a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Galaxy A

The Galaxy A26, Galaxy A36, and the Galaxy A56 are the newest phones in the company's premium mid-range series. The latter two remain the most popular models in this series, so we'll focus on them.

These are the successors to last year's models. Samsung's Galaxy A series is incredibly popular in the mid-range segment. It has made some significant design changes to this year's lineup to achieve a more cohesive design language across its different series.

The Galaxy A56 gets Samsung's most powerful mid-range Exynos processor yet, the Exynos 1580. It's paired with upto 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

Galaxy M

Samsung Galaxy M54 Colors

Samsung's Galaxy M lineup of affordable devices was first launched in India before being made available in other markets, including Europe. These budget-friendly devices offer good specs and features at aggressive price points.

The Galaxy M54 5G isn't really an entirely “new” device, it's been launched as an alternative of the Galaxy A54 5G in select marekts. There are minor cosmetic differences such as a narrower plastic frame, thicker lower bezel, and no water and dust resistance. It's powered by the same Eyxnos 1380 chipset with 8Gb of RAM and 128/256GB storage. A chunky 6,000mAh battery keeps the lights on with 25W fast charging.

It gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor instead of an ultrasonic in-display sensor. The Galaxy M54 5G features a 6.7-inch AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 120Hz maximum refresh rate. The rear camera includes a 108-megapixel wide-angle sensor alongside a 2-megapixel macro and 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. There's a 32-megapixel selfie camera as well.
