Samsung is now accepting reservations for its latest Odyssey monitors in the USA. By reserving early, buyers can save $50 during the follow-up pre-order period, which should open next month.
According to the fine print on the official reservation page, the $50 store credit will be available for Odyssey monitor buyers who make a reservation between March 25 and April 8.
The fine print states that the $50 discount can be used on the purchase of the “Qualifying Product” between April 8 and April 22, i.e., the “pre-order period.”
In simpler terms, the Odyssey 3D, Odyssey OLED G8, and Odyssey G9 reservation window closes on April 8. The monitors will then be available for pre-order until April 22, and those who make an early reservation can benefit from a $50 discount.

The Odyssey 3D (G90XF) and Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF) have gorgeous 4K wide screens, whereas the Odyssey G9 (G91F) features a stunning, 1000R curved ultra-wide 49-inch Dual QHD panel.
Samsung's Odyssey 3D stands out through its clever glass-free technology, which can render 3D content without requiring 3D glasses. How is this possible? Well, the monitor is equipped with a clever camera system that detects the viewer's eyes and renders two images from different angles, one for each eye, to create a stereoscopic effect.
However, this clever feature requires a powerful Nvidia GPU and game developers to be onboard. For video conversion, it doesn't work with HDR and DRM content, so there are some limitations.
The Odyssey OLED G8 is a more standard gaming monitor, available in 27 and 32 inches. It boasts a refresh rate of up to 240Hz and Glare-Free technology certified by Underwriters Laboratories. While the Odyssey 3D is more impressive on paper, the OLED G8 offers more value for your cash if you're looking purely for a 2D experience.
Speaking of pricing, Samsung hasn't revealed any details for the USA, but in Korea, these monitors start at $852. You can read more about the Korean launch in our report from yesterday.
