Samsung seems ready to launch its first glasses-free 3D monitor in the USA. After the company announced the global launch of its new gaming and professional monitors yesterday, the Odyssey 3D was spotted on Best Buy's website, revealing the gaming monitor's eye-watering price tag.
Odyssey 3D could carry a price tag of $2,000 in the USA
The Odyssey 3D could carry a price tag of a whopping $2,000 in the USA. That makes it costlier than Samsung's 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 (GS95SD) and the second-generation 55-inch Odyssey Ark gaming monitors. This information was spotted on Best Buy's website before it was removed.

The Odyssey 3D (G90XF) has a 27-inch IPS LCD display with 4K resolution, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 350 nits peak brightness, 1ms response time (gray-to-gray), and a 165Hz refresh rate. It can cover 99% of the sRGB color gamut and supports HDR10+ and HDR10+ Gaming standards.
According to Samsung, it supports AMD FreeSync Premium but lacks Nvidia G-Sync compatibility. It can convert nearly all 2D content into 3D using the Reality Hub app installed on a connected PC.
Other features include two 5W stereo speakers, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB Type-A downstream ports, and one USB Type-B upstream port. It ships with a height-adjustable stand that also supports pivot and tilt adjustments.
