Rumor has it that Samsung is going to launch the Galaxy S25 Edge in April. The company hasn't confirmed any of those details as yet. One might think that the company would conduct an event to launch the device, seeing as how closely guarded it has been to build anticipation.
However, that may not be the case. It's entirely possible that Samsung announces the official release of the Galaxy S25 Edge through a simple press release which simultaneously goes live with the device's product page on Samsung's website.
Don't expect a separate Unpacked event
The expectation for a Galaxy S25 Edge launch event would be justified given how Samsung has positioned this device so far. It was unveiled at the Galaxy S25 Unpacked event in January but nobody was allowed to touch it, not even the press.
Samsung then showcased the device at its MWC 2025 booth but once again, it was kept away from prying fingers. The company also hasn't officially confirmed many details about the device, including the possibility of a ceramic body that we've exclusively told you about.
We think, and X echo chamber agrees, that Samsung is unlikely to conduct a separate launch event. It'll announce the device much in the same way it announced the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, without much fanfare.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is getting ever so closer to its official launch. The device has received its FCC certification as well so things are pretty locked in now. Hopefully, we should get a confirmed date in the coming days.
