Samsung is rolling out a new software update to its smartphone with a clamshell foldable display from 2022, the Galaxy Z Flip 4. It offers the June 2025 security patch, which fixes many security issues that you can check out here.
So far, the brand has release the update to the international variant of the phone, which has the model number SM-F721B, across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The new firmware caries version F721BXXSAHYER.
How to update Galaxy Z Flip 4?
If you have the international version of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, your phone should automatically notify you about the update. If it hasn’t, you have have to check for the new firmware manually, which you can do by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Alternatively, you can download the new firmware from our database and install it manually using Samsung’s Odin tool.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is also eligible to get Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8.0, which brings many new features. Samsung is currently testing it on the Galaxy S25 series. The brans is expected to release its stable version with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Soon after that, the brand may release it for the Galaxy Z Flip 4.
