Samsung has partnered with World Rugby, the governing body of the action-packed sport, to bring exciting free ad-supported content to the TV Plus platforms in two of the largest TV Plus markets: the UK and the USA.
If you have a Samsung TV with access to TV Plus in the UK, you can already enjoy a mix of rugby-related content through the new RugbyPass TV FAST channel, which debuted on the platform this week. The channel is not yet available in the USA, but World Rugby confirmed that the US launch will follow after the UK.
The collaboration between Samsung and World Rugby brings a variety of free, ad-supported rugby content to the TV Plus platform, including:
- Live international matches.
- Original programming documentaries and series programming.
- Classic matches.
- In-depth analysis.
- Rugby sevens.
The Chief Executive of World Rugby stated in a recent press release that the USA and the UK are “two of rugby's most important and promising markets.” Collaborating with Samsung TV Plus is “a major milestone” in growing the game globally and bringing the sport to more fans than ever before.
Again, RubgyPass TV is free through the Samsung TV Plus platform, so this collaboration will shine a bright spotlight on the action-packed sport and potentially introduce millions more sports fans in the UK and the USA to rugby.
The TV Plus platform is available on most Samsung smart TVs released in 2016 and later, as well as Samsung Smart Monitors, projectors, and Family Hub refrigerators with embedded displays. The platform is also available for mobile devices through the Galaxy Store and Google Play.
Arguably, the best way to enjoy Samsung TV Plus is through a smart TV or projector. Samsung has launched numerous 2025 TV offers this summer, so if you are in the market for a new big screen, check out Samsung's online shop in your region. Do keep in mind that TV Plus is region-locked and not available worldwide.
