In the Android market, Samsung is one of the very few brands offering flagship phones in a small size as well. Take the Galaxy S25 for example. It offers everything an ultra high-end phone should while also being very compact, fitting into small hands and pockets comfortably. This time, the brand also introduced a slim model in the lineup, the Galaxy S25 Edge. It's for people who care about aesthetics above all. Well, after Samsung setting the trend, Honor seems to be following its footsteps.
According to Digital Chat Station, Honor is developing a flagship smartphone with a 6.3-inch display, as well as a phone that is ultra-thin, copying Samsung to offer slim and thin phones. Unfortunately, there is no information about their specifications yet.
With Honor jumping the bandwagon, we expect other Chinese brands to also launch rivals to the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Edge soon. It'll make things tougher for Samsung. However, a tough competition will result in better products for consumers.
What about the Galaxy S25 Edge?
While Samsung showcased the Galaxy S25 Edge at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, the company hasn’t launched it yet. The tech giant has also not revealed its specifications. A recent rumor about the phone claims that it is jaw-droppingly slim at 5.84mm, weighs mere 162 grams, and will start at $999. Samsung is said to launch it on 16 April 2025. However, the brand may not be expecting a huge demand for the phone as it is making only 40,000 units of it in the initial production run.
