Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro has 2x faster GPU than Tab Active 4 Pro

Last year, we learned that Samsung is developing a new rugged tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro. It will arrive as a successor to the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro and become Samsung's new flagship rugged tablet. Leaks about the device have already revealed its model numbers, battery details, connectivity options, and processor.

Well, the tech giant has now gotten it benchmarked on Geekbench. It not only confirms the SoC model but also reveals the RAM capacity and Android version, as well as, sheds light on its performance. It also suggests that Samsung has completed the development of the tablet and may launch it anytime now. Let’s take a look.

We have spotted a Samsung device with model number SM-X356B on Geekbench (1, 2). It’s the model number for the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro. According to the listing, the tablet has Qualcomm’s Adreno 810 GPU. Currently, the only processor to use it is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, which suggests that this is the SoC the tablet will feature.

A previous leak also revealed that the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. The Geekbench listing confirms that. The tablet has 6GB RAM. However, Samsung could offer the tablet in more memory configurations. It runs on Android 15, which means that it may come with One UI 7.0.

The tablet has scored 1,174 points in the single-core CPU test, 3,371 points in the multi-core CPU test, and 4,453 points in the GPU test. In comparison, the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro scored 1,019 points in the single-core CPU test, 2,876 points in the multi-core CPU test, and 2,341 points in the GPU test with its Snapdragon 778G processor.

It means that the upcoming model is 15% faster in single-core CPU performance, 17% faster in multi-core CPU performance, and 90% faster in GPU performance compared to the existing one. That’s a significant jump in performance, especially in the graphics department with almost two times the performance.

Considering that Samsung has started getting the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro benchmarked, it looks like the brand has completed the development of the tablet. It suggests that the tech giant could launch it soon. With that in mind, we think we will get to know more details about the product soon.
