First details about Galaxy S25 FE leak

While Samsung is still three months away from launching the Galaxy S25 series, the first details about the Galaxy S25 FE have emerged. It appears that the South Korean firm is staying true to its promise of launching a new Fan Edition phone every year after it missed the Galaxy S22 FE in 2022.

Galaxy S25 FE could be slimmer

According to a report from TheElec, the Galaxy S25 FE will be launched in 2025. The phone will reportedly feature a slimmer design compared to the Galaxy S24 FE, which is 8mm thin. It isn't clear how slim the Galaxy S25 FE would be, but Samsung might try to match the thinness of the vanilla Galaxy S24 (7.6mm).

To make the phone thinner, the report claims that Samsung could use a thinner but wider battery. This is the usual trick smartphone makers use to make phones thinner. To use a wider battery, internal changes to the layout of the main circuit board are required.

The report also claims that Samsung will use a 6.7-inch screen, which will be similar to the screen size of the Galaxy S24 FE. Samsung increased the screen size of the Galaxy S24 FE compared to the Galaxy S23 FE's 6.2-inch screen and backed it up with a bigger (4,700mAh) battery.

Author's Note: It isn't clear which chipset Samsung will use in the Galaxy S25 FE. Since it has used the Exynos 2400e in the Galaxy S24 FE and rumors claim Samsung will not launch the Exynos 2500 for the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25+, Samsung might be forced to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy or the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy S25 FE.

If the company manages to improve yields of the Exynos 2500 by the second half of next year, it could also use that chipset for the Galaxy S25 FE and use a mix of MediaTek Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25+.
