Samsung is no stranger to new types of devices, be it a wine cellar, a wind-free air conditioner, a credit card fingerprint reader, or a wearable robot. Ahead of IFA 2024, the company has revealed a drip coffee maker. And it is a part of the South Korean firm's goal of a completely connected and smart home.
Samsung's drip coffee maker is made for its Bespoke Water Purifier
Samsung has announced that it will showcase its drip coffee maker, the Brewer Kit (RWP54421), at IFA 2024 in Berlin, Germany, from September 6 to 10. The kit is designed to be used with the South Korean firm's Bespoke Water Purifier, which has a digital display on top. The company says its new product is designed to meet the growing coffee market, where people want their coffee brewed at home.
If you have a Bespoke Water Purifier, you can remove its existing faucet and replace it with the Brewer Kit. The water flows out in multiple directions, making it easier to brew coffee with consistent taste. Samsung claims its new device saves time as coffee extraction, steeping, and pouring water are all done with just one device.
The device offers six basic coffee brewing recipes, and you can choose the one you prefer using the SmartThings app on your smartphone. The company's collaboration with famous coffee brands can help create optimal coffee brews. Samsung has tied up with Momos Coffee and Pore to handle specialty coffee beans created by famous baristas. When you scan the barcode on the coffee pack using SmartThings Food, the recipe is automatically sent to the brewer, making things easier.
The Bespoke Water Purifier Brewer Kit will be sold in South Korea in October 2024. Beginning in November, existing Bespoke Water Purifier owners can buy the Brewer Kit after updating their water purifier using the Smart Forward system.
Samsung DX Vice President Lee Moo-hyung said, “As the number of consumers enjoying home cafes increases, we are introducing a product that allows users to enjoy drip coffee using a Bespoke water purifier at this IFA. We will continue to provide convenient and smart experiences to consumers through various products.”
At IFA 2024, Samsung also unveiled its Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, Bespoke AI Washer, and Bespoke Dishwasher, all of which consume very little power, even by the highest standards available for power efficiency.
