For a limited time only, Samsung is offering customers who buy the Galaxy Z Fold 8 through its online store in the United States a $200 trade-in credit if they don't have a device to trade-in.
This is different from the instant discounts that Samsung has offered in the past on other devices, meaning that it won't knock $200 off the purchase price for the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

Customers who select the no trade-in option when buying the Galaxy Z Fold 8 from Samsung's online store will receive $200 as an instant credit.
This can only be used to purchase additional, eligible products. Samsung has highlighted clearly on its store that this credit can't be applied to your phone purchase.
The credit can be used to knock $200 off the purchase of eligible Galaxy Watch models, Galaxy Buds earbuds, tablets, accessories, and even Samsung Care+.
For example, when you buy the Galaxy Z Fold 8 for $1,899, you can instantly get $200 off the Galaxy Watch 9, and buy it for $179 instead of $379. Samsung may also provide additional bundle savings on top of the credit, depending on the product you choose.

Keep in mind that this credit can only be used at the time of purchase. You don't have the option of using it later on. Any value that's not used is lost. If you cancel or return your phone purchase, the discount will be forfeit.
