Just as we had exclusively reported earlier this month, Samsung has opened the One UI 8.0 Beta Program. The new beta update, based on Android 16, is rolling out already for the Galaxy S25 series. The beta program is currently available in South Korea, and it could be released soon in other countries where Samsung usually releases beta updates.
Galaxy S25 gets first One UI 8.0 beta update in Korea
Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra users in South Korea have already started getting the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 beta update. The update will also be released in Germany, the UK, and the USA. This new update doesn't bring a major UI redesign, something that One UI 7.0 introduced. It brings dozens of new and improved features, though.
To enroll One UI 8.0 eligible devices in the One UI 8.0 Beta Program, users need to download the Samsung Members app, log into the app using their Samsung Account, and tap the One UI 8.0 Beta Program banner on the home page. Once the registration is done, head over to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once the download is complete, tap the Install now button, and the phone will then restart after a few minutes once the installation is complete.
