A couple of days ago, Samsung started the rollout of the stable One UI 7.0 update for older devices like the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Now, the company has expanded internal testing of Android 16-based One UI 8.0 builds for the Galaxy S25 series.
Galaxy S25 One UI 8.0 update internal testing expands
A few days ago, the Galaxy S25 was spotted running Android 16. It was the global version (SM-S931B) of the phone. Now, a One UI 8.0 build was spotted (via @tarunvats33)for the South Korean version (SM-S938N) of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The new build has firmware version S938NKSU2BYD6.

Looking at the fourth letter (B) from the right makes it clear that it features the next version of One UI. The Galaxy S25 series came preloaded with Android 15-based One UI 7.0 software. Since the previous testing of One UI 8.0 was spotted on the global version of the Galaxy S25, it seems like Samsung is slowing expanding its internal testing for the next major One UI version.

There have been rumors about Samsung trying to bring One UI 8.0 much earlier than its usual time frame to line up the release with the early release of Android 16. A few days ago, we exclusively reported that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will run Android 16 and One UI 8.0 out of the box.

So, it is possible that Samsung will open the One UI 8.0 Beta Program just a couple of months after releasing the stable One UI 7.0 update to eligible devices.
