Galaxy S22 updated with March 2025 security patch

Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy S22 series. This update brings the March 2025 security patch to the devices to make them more secure against security flaws discovered in the previous software.

Galaxy S22 gets March 2025 security update in Europe, South Korea

The new software update, which is currently rolling out to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in Europe and South Korea, brings the March 2025 security patch that fixes dozens of security flaws uncovered in the previous software.

The update that has been released in Europe has firmware version S90xBXXSDEYB1, and the one released in South Korea has firmware version S90xNKSS7EYB3. If you have a Galaxy S22 series phone and live in Europe or South Korea, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install.

You can also flash the new firmware manually using a Windows PC and the Odin tool, and you would need the appropriate firmware file for that process. You can download the latest firmware file from our firmware database.

In other regions, including Asia, Latin America, North America, and Oceania, Samsung could release this new update in the coming weeks.

If you are waiting for the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update for your Galaxy S22 series device, you should know that it could take at least a month before that update arrives. Earlier today, Samsung said it would start rolling out the stable One UI 7.0 update on April 7 for the first set of devices, and the Galaxy S22 series is not included in that list.
