Even though it has delayed the One UI 7.0 update, at least Samsung is making sure the monthly software updates are released on time. The company has released a new monthly software update to the Galaxy S21 series.
Galaxy S21 gets February 2025 security update
The latest software update for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra is rolling out now in Europe. The update comes with firmware version G99xBXXSEGYA2 and is now available in Switzerland. More European countries could get the update soon.
The detailed firmware versions of each Galaxy S21 series phone are listed below.
- Galaxy S21: G991BXXSEGYA2
- Galaxy S21+: G996BXXSEGYA2
- Galaxy S21 Ultra: G998BXXSEGYA2
The update brings the February 2025 security patch that fixes dozens of security improvements based on the liabilities discovered in the previous software version.
You can download the new update on your Galaxy S21 series phone by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also follow the manual firmware flashing procedure if you know how to use the Odin tool. Don't forget to download the appropriate firmware file from our database.
