Galaxy A52s gets February 2025 security update but only in Korea

Yesterday, Samsung released a software update to the Galaxy A52 5G that offered the January 2025 security patch, which is a month old now. Well, the company is treating its advanced version, the Galaxy A52s 5G, a little better. It is rolling out the February 2025 security patch to the smartphone. It fixes a number of security issues, making the device more secure.

However, there’s a catch. The update is available only for the variant of the Galaxy A52s 5G that Samsung sells in its home country, South Korea. It has the model number SM-A528N. That being said, we expect Samsung to offer it to other variants of the phone soon. Coming back to the Korea variant, the latest update for it carries firmware version A528NKSS6GYB1.

Getting the latest update on your Galaxy A52s 5G is very simple. Open Settings, scroll down, tap on Software update, and select Download and install. If you don’t see an update after following these steps, then it means that Samsung hasn’t released it for your device yet, and you will have to wait a little. If you don’t want to wait, then you can get it from our database.

Unfortunately, the Galaxy A52s 5G isn’t eligible to get Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update. Android 14-based One UI 6.1 was the phone’s last OS upgrade. If that’s making you think of upgrading to a newer phone, you should take a look at the Galaxy A55. However, if you can wait a little, you can get the Galaxy A56, which will offer you even more features.
