Samsung’s device repair network welcomes 300+ more locations

Samsung's customer care network is expanding. The company announced today that its partnership with Cell Phone Repair (CPR) by Assurant, an Independent Service Provider (ISP) within Samsung's repair network, is opening more than 300 new service locations before the end of 2024.

At the beginning of the year, CPR had roughly 100 locations certified by Samsung to perform repairs on Galaxy devices. Now, that network is growing to more than 400 locations across the United States.

Repairing Galaxy S9 and newer devices

Samsung says, “ISPs like CPR are vital to Samsung for making convenient device care options more readily accessible and guaranteeing that genuine Samsung parts are available at more locations.”

CPR technicians are certified by the CTIA's Wireless Industry Service Excellence (WISE) program, and most repairs at CPR locations take less than an hour.

CPR also performs repairs for out-of-warranty devices. Samsung says smartphone models from the Galaxy S9 generation and later are serviced by CPR.

Thanks to this expansion, Samsung's customer care network now consists of:

  • More than 9,000 certified Samsung Mobile repair technicians in the USA.
  • Over 2,000 Samsung Authorized Care locations, covering 84% of the US population.
  • More than 450 “We Come To You” repair vans.
  • Coverage across 50 states.
  • Self-Repair program for DIY enthusiasts.

The Self-Repair program actually went through some changes earlier this year, when the partnership between Samsung and iFixit ended, seemingly prematurely. iFixit blamed Samsung for it, but regardless, Samsung's Self-Repair program continues.
