Samsung began updating the Galaxy S20 FE 5G with the June 2021 security patch a couple of days ago, but as you might be aware, the original release happened in China and Hong Kong. Well, it didn’t take long for Samsung to break this exclusivity, and the company is now rolling out a similar firmware update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G internationally.
The latest firmware update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G appears to have debuted in Baltic countries but availability will expand gradually to other regions. The update carries firmware version G781BXXU3CUE3 and although we don’t have an official changelog yet, the version number indicates that the package could introduce new features and/or improve upon existing ones.
Samsung hasn’t published the June 2021 security patch changelog yet, but the June release might be more important than it seems judging by the company’s accelerated pace over the last couple of weeks. We’ll keep you posted with more details as soon as Samsung updates its security bulletin.
Eligible Galaxy S20 FE 5G owners should be able to download the latest firmware update and June 2021 security patch by tapping the update notification, or by triggering the process from the Software update menu inside the Settings app on the phone.
Another method for updating Samsung mobile devices is to skip the wait and head over to our firmware archive where we post new official Samsung firmware updates regularly. SamMobile readers can download firmware files for free, and they can update their devices manually using a Windows PC.
