The groundwork is well and truly being laid for the Galaxy Tab S6 release. We exclusively leaked images of the Galaxy Tab S6 yesterday and also confirmed several details about the tablet. Samsung is jumping straight to the Galaxy Tab S6 after launching the Galaxy Tab S5e earlier this year.
The company is yet to confirm when it’s going to launch a new tablet. However, it’s most likely due for release in a couple of months. This is also backed up by the Wi-Fi certification that the Galaxy Tab S6’s LTE variant has now picked up.
Galaxy Tab S6 release isn’t that far off now
Like the images we leaked yesterday show, the Galaxy Tab S6’s design will be quite similar to that of the Galaxy Tab S5e. It features a 10.5-inch display and comes with the Snapdragon 855 processor. A benchmark listing has revealed that it will come with 6GB of RAM. The base model will offer 128GB internal storage with 256GB being the option.
The Galaxy Tab S6 will feature an S Pen as well which will attach magnetically to the groove at the tablet’s back. This will also be Samsung’s first tablet with a dual camera system at the back. Both Wi-Fi and LTE models will be available when the Galaxy Tab S6 release takes place.
The LTE variant bearing model number SM-T865 has now picked up its Wi-Fi certification. This also reiterates that the device will be running Android 9 Pie out of the box. You wouldn’t expect any less of it.
Samsung did launch the Galaxy Tab S4 a week before the Galaxy Note 9’s launch last year. Whether we will see a repeat of that this year is unknown. There’s also the chance that Samsung might keep it under the wraps until IFA 2019 in September.
