[Poll] What’s your opinion on the Galaxy Note 8’s rumored 3,300 mAh battery?

At this point, it looks like the Galaxy Note 8 will indeed ship with a 3,300 mAh battery, smaller than the battery in the Galaxy S8+ and last year’s ill-fated Galaxy Note 7. We could ignore the rumors and hold on to hope that the actual battery size will be bigger, but the rumors and leaks have been pretty accurate for all of Samsung’s recent flagships, and there’s no reason they are anything but correct for the Galaxy Note 8 as well.

To be honest, a 3,300 mAh battery doesn’t sound bad, but it could be a problem as even the Galaxy S8+ cannot offer more than a day’s worth of battery life with its 3,500 mAh cell, and that’s on a good day with not-so-heavy usage. It would also be an issue for anyone looking to use the Note 8 has a dual SIM device. The Galaxy Note 5 had excellent endurance for a phone with a 3,000 mAh battery, however, and we can expect Samsung to optimize the Note 8 in a similar fashion. We can also take solace in the fact that Samsung’s new batteries can retain up to 95 percent of their capacity after a year.

Nothing is certain at this point, and only real world battery life figures will tell us the actual story. But with a 3,300 mAh battery looking more and more like a certainty, we thought we would ask our readers what their take is on the matter. You know what to do. Let us know your opinion through the poll below, and leave a comment to get the discussion going in the comments section.
