Samsung monthly updates: November 2026 security patch gets detailed

Now that Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 9.0 update to almost all eligible Galaxy phones and tablets, it is time for the company to release this month's security maintenance update. Samsung has detailed the November 2026 security patch, which addresses more than 160 vulnerabilities across Android OS and Galaxy-specific software and hardware.

Samsung's November 2026 security patch will be released soon

Alongside 155 fixes (CVEs) from Google for vulnerabilities discovered in the core Android OS, the November 2026 patch includes fixes for 24 vulnerabilities (SVEs) found specifically in Galaxy devices. Of those 24 items, Samsung publicly disclosed 17 bugs, while the remaining seven have been kept confidential until updates reach more devices.

The update patches 20 Critical, 141 High, and 15 Moderate severity vulnerabilities. All 20 critical fixes come from Google. Of the 141 high-severity flaws, 134 come from Google, 4 from Samsung Semiconductor (DS), and 3 from Samsung (Samsung MX). Of the 15 moderate-severity issues, one fix comes from Google and the remaining 14 come from Samsung MX.

The patches supplied by Samsung Semiconductor target Exynos chipsets and modems. The remaining fixes from Samsung's mobile division address issues in the bootloader, improper input validation, buffer overflows, unauthorized lock screen calling via widgets, SIM lock bypasses, Dialer, Contacts, Messages, and MKV media playback.

Samsung is expected to roll out the November 2026 security patch to eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the coming days.
