As Samsung prepares to unveil its next-generation foldable phones, Google is also gearing up to launch its next-generation Pixel smartphones. Google is expected to unveil four new Pixel phones, including the Pixel 11 and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, next month to compete with the Galaxy S26 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, respectively.
Google's Pixel 11 lineup could launch on August 20, 2026
A report from Dealabs claims that the Pixel 11 will go on sale on August 20 with a starting price of €999, while the Pixel 11 Pro and the Pixel 11 Pro XL will debut at €1,199 and €1,399, respectively. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold could start at €1,999 for the 256GB version and go up to €2,389 for the 1TB variant.
All four phones, powered by Google’s 2nm Tensor G6 chips manufactured by TSMC, are expected to be announced on August 11, 2026, a few weeks after Samsung unveils the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
If this information is accurate, the 256GB Pixel 11 would be €100 more expensive than the 256GB Galaxy S26. Both are compact phones with 6.3-inch 120Hz OLED displays and triple rear camera setups.
Pixel 11 Pro Fold could undercut the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold could be €200 cheaper than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which is rumored to debut at €2,199. That would put it in the same price bracket as the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is rumored to be Samsung’s first widescreen book-style foldable phone. However, it is expected to feature only two rear cameras, which could make the Pixel 11 Pro Fold a more appealing option for buyers who prioritize camera versatility.
