Samsung has released a new update for Good Lockâs Home Up app. It brings two exciting customization features for devices running One UI 9.0. We explained these features a few days ago, but at the time, the update wasnât available to the public.
The new Home Up update is now available in South Korea. It comes with version 18.0.0.24 and is available through the Galaxy Store for devices running One UI 9.0 (Android 17). Besides adding official support for One UI 9.0, the update introduces custom background support for the Edge Panel and the Favorites panel (the home screen dock).
The official changelog mentions the following improvements:
- Added official support for One UI 9.0
- Added the DIY home screen auto-arrange feature
- Added the Sticker Action feature
- Added custom background support for the Favorites and Edge panels
- Added support for multi-finger gestures
- Included improvements based on user feedback

You can now add custom backgrounds to the Edge Panel and the Favorites panel, complete with blur and shadow effects, adjustable horizontal and vertical padding, and customizable corner radius. The app includes nine preloaded background images and ten preloaded background color options.

Another powerful new feature is support for customizable multi-finger gestures. You can assign two-finger, three-finger, four-finger, and five-finger swipe gestures and map them to any of the 27 available actions. For example, you can assign a three-finger swipe down to take a screenshot or a five-finger pinch to return to the Home screen.
You can also adjust gesture sensitivity, choose a glow effect and vibration pattern, disable custom gestures while using the keyboard, and allow them to work in full-screen mode. You can even customize the animation associated with each gesture.
