Last week, Samsung not only announced the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 series but also released the July 2026 security update for the Galaxy S23 series. However, that update was initially limited to South Korea. It has now been released internationally.
A new software update with firmware version S91xBXXSAFZG1 has been released for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The update is currently available in Vietnam but could soon reach other countries. It has a download size of around 400MB and includes the July 2026 security patch, which addresses 57 software vulnerabilities.
If you own a Galaxy S23 series phone in Vietnam, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Check for updates. If the update is available, it will begin downloading. Once the download is complete, tap Install now and then tap Restart.
Make sure your phone has at least 30% battery charge before starting the installation process.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 series in early 2023 with Android 13 preinstalled. It received the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update last year and the One UI 8.5 update a few months ago. One UI 9.0 will be its final major Android and One UI update, and it is expected to arrive in the coming months.
