Today, the new Galaxy A27 has formally joined the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57, completing Samsung's trio of mid-range A-series phones for 2026.
The A27 is official, and even if you're not a mid-range phone user, it's often interesting to see how phones in other price brackets evolve with each new generation.
The Galaxy A27 brings several improvements over last year's model, but if you want to distill the list to the upgrades that matter most, Samsung picked three for you.
Upon unveiling the Galaxy A27, Samsung put the spotlight on three key features that seemingly define the experience. They became the centerpiece of the A27 announcement. And here they are.
Display upgrades
The Galaxy A27 is the first A2x series phone to feature an Infinity-O display, delivering a less distracting viewing experience and a more modern design.
The phone looks even better thanks to slimmer bezels surrounding the display.
Performance upgrades
The Galaxy A27 is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and features faster memory.
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is a more suitable chip than the Exynos 1380, and Samsung says its improved GPU delivers smoother graphics.
- Fun facts: The Galaxy A27 uses the same chip as the Galaxy A36. It also looks quite similar to the Galaxy A37.
Faster memory is also part of the equation. The Galaxy A27 features LPDDR5x memory and UFS 3.1 storage. Samsung claims memory speeds are 50% faster than on the A26.
Awesome Intelligence
Last but not least, Samsung believes the latest Awesome Intelligence enhancements are worth highlighting alongside the Galaxy A27.
- Circle to Search now supports multi-object recognition.
- Object Eraser is more precise.
- Voice Transcription in the Voice Recorder app can translate as it transcribes.
- Gemini and Perplexity assistant choices.
- Upgraded Bixby with natural language capabilities and seamless control of phone settings.
Samsung says the Galaxy A27 will go on sale in select markets on July 3.
