Upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro design revealed in renders

Recent rumors claim that Samsung intends to revamp the upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup by dropping the Plus moniker and introducing a Galaxy S26 Pro as the base model.

Today, the alleged Galaxy S26 Pro's design was revealed through a handful of CAD-based renders shared by @OnLeaks and Android Headlines. Check them out below.

According to these renders, the upcoming Galaxy S26 Pro looks more or less like the existing Galaxy S25 but employs a more prominent camera housing inspired by the Galaxy S25 Edge.

The phone has flat edges and front and back panels. The cutouts for the three rear-facing cameras are symmetrical and vertically aligned.

According to the source, the Galaxy S26 Pro's dimensions are 149.3 x 71.4 x 6.96mm, and its display clocks in at 6.3 inches.

In other words, the Galaxy S26+ may be gone, but the Galaxy S26 Pro won't be its direct replacement. Instead, the relatively compact Galaxy S26 Pro will replace the base model.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Edge will reportedly fill the shoes of the Plus series. And last but not least, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will remain the top model.

As a side note, Apple also dropped the Plus moniker for its 2025 iPhone series and introduced the iPhone Air instead.

By the looks of it, the era of the Plus smartphone is gone, or at the very least, the moniker is on its way out. Time will tell what Samsung's plans really are. The company may unveil the Galaxy S26 lineup in January 2026.
