AI is taking the world by storm, popping up in every aspect of our lives. Powering this technology are AI accelerators, and they require a lot of high-bandwidth memory (HBM). Samsung wants to capitalise on the trend by supplying HBM for AI accelerators to brands like Nvidia.
However, Samsung, despite being the leader in the memory market, is struggling when it comes to supplying HBM for AI accelerators because SK Hynix is offering better quality products. Well, the tech giant is going to take another swing at offering products and solutions for AI.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung is going to showcase its latest advancements and products in the world of memory and solutions for AI at Nvidia’s GPU Technology Conference 2025 (GTC 2025). The publication claims that it will include high-bandwidth memory (HBM) as well as enterprise solid-state drives (eSSDs).
Furthermore, Samsung will also host a presentation in collaboration with Nvidia to highlight that Nvidia’s newly launched RTX 50 series GPUs use Samsung’s GDDR7 memory.

Last month, a report also revealed that Samsung and Nvidia are developing a system on chip advanced memory module (SOCAMM) for AI accelerators. It offers better performance than HBM, and is also modular. Maybe Samsung will also showcase its SOCAMM at GTC 2025.
Recently, Samsung’s Vice Chairman, Young Hyun Jun, visited Nvidia’s headquarters in Santa Clara, California to demonstrate 1b DRAM, which is used in Samsung’s HBM modules. Maybe we also get to see that at the event. GTC 2025 will be live from 17 March 2025 to 21 March 2025.
