A few days ago, we were relieved to find out that Samsung plans to bring the Galaxy A56 to the USA after all. We thought that might never happen, considering that the Galaxy A55 skipped the US market in 2024.
Our worries were also justified by the lack of evidence of Galaxy A56 firmware being developed for the A56 in the States.
In fact, there's still no evidence of such firmware development, which is why we recently speculated that Samsung might intend to launch the Galaxy A56 to the USA later than other markets.
Samsung recently confirmed this in a press release.
The Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26 will be released in the USA beginning March 26 and March 28. However, Samsung left the Galaxy A56 USA launch schedule hanging for now.
Samsung said the Galaxy A56 “will be available later this year starting at $499.” The company offered no concrete launch frames or dates. So, there you have it. The Galaxy A56 is taking a bit longer to land in the USA.
For reference, the Galaxy A54 — which was the last A5x phone to go on sale Stateside — went up for pre-order in the USA on March 30, 2023. It then hit the shelves on April 6.
Judging by Samsung's phrasing, the Galaxy A56 isn't likely to hit pre-orders this month. “Later this year” suggests that the Galaxy A56 will sit on the sideline a bit longer than that. But you never know. Either way, we'll keep you posted as soon as more details emerge.
