If you are a Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Galaxy Z Flip 4 user, you might have been waiting for Android 15-based One UI 7.0 for quite a while now. While that software update is still not in sight, the South Korean tech giant is now rolling out March 2025 security patch to these smartphones. It fixes quite a lot of security vulnerabilities of the two devices.
At the moment, Samsung is rolling out the latest security patch to the Korean variants of the two devices, which have model numbers SM-F721N and SM-F936N. The updates carry firmware versions F721NKSS6GYBE and F936NKSS6GYBD. Samsung should offer it to other variants of these phones and in more regions in the next few days.
The process for getting software updates on Samsung smartphones is quite simple. Just open Settings, scroll down to the bottom of the page, select Software updates, and tap on the Download and install button. If you have received a notification about the update, you can also tap on it to then select the Download and install option.
It is possible that Samsung is rolling out the latest update to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in phases. That means different people will get it at different times. If you aren’t in the initial rollout phase and you don’t want to wait for the update, you can download the firmware from our database and install it using Odin on a Windows PC.
As for Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7.0, the South Korean tech giant is still busy rolling out the beta version of the software to newer devices. Once it completes that, the company should start offering the stable version to older devices. So, don’t expect to see it on your Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 anytime soon.
