Galaxy A25 gets more secure with March 2025 security update

Samsung’s Galaxy A25 is one of the devices eligible for the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update that the brand is going to start rolling out on 7 April 2025. However, the phone may get it much later because the company will first offer it to new and high-end devices. Well, in the meantime, it is offering the March 2025 security patch to the phone.

Currently, only the variant of the Galaxy A25 that Samsung sells in Asia, Central America, and the Middle East, which has the model number SM-A256E, is getting the update. As we have noted in our dedicated article about the latest security update, it fixes 58 issues. The update carries the firmware version A256EXXS7BYC3.

To get the March 2025 security patch on your Galaxy A25, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. If you don’t see an update after following the steps then it means that Samsung hasn’t made it available the update for your device (as it may be rolling it out in phases) and you might have to wait a little more.

We expect Samsung to release the latest security update to other variants of the Galaxy A25 in the next few days. A month or so after that, it may offer the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update to the phone. It will not only offer a more modern, cleaner, and easier-to-use UI but also new features and smoother animations.
