You could soon stream Apple TV+ on your Galaxy phones, tablets

While Apple launched the Apple Music app for Android smartphones and tablets long ago, it didn't launch the Apple TV+ app for those devices. Now, Apple is trying a new way to bring Apple TV+ content to Android phones and tablets, and that is via the Amazon Prime Video app.

Apple TV+ will be available as a Prime Video add-on in the USA

In the USA, Prime Video users can subscribe to the Apple TV+ add-on for $9.99 per month. It will bring all Apple original TV shows and movies to the Prime Video app and be available to all users, including those using Android smartphones and tablets. Apple TV+ content will come to the Prime Video app later this month. So, you can watch all that content on your Galaxy smartphone and tablet.

It isn't clear if all the content will be available in the original 4K Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos quality.

The content will be available to Prime Video users outside of the US in the future. Hopefully, Apple will release the native Apple TV app for Android smartphones and tablets in the future so that users don't have to rely on Prime Video subscriptions. Prime Video already has over a hundred add-on channels.

Apple has already released its native Apple TV app for Android TV, macOS, PlayStation, Tizen, webOS, Windows, and Xbox. However, it hasn't launched the app for Android smartphones and tablets yet, and its web version also needs improvement.

Apple TV+ competes with Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Max, and other video streaming services. It usually costs $9.99 per month in the USA when subscribing from Apple, and the price stays the same if you subscribe it via the Prime Video app.
