Samsung is now selling the Galaxy S24 FE in India following a weeklong pre-order period. The latest Fan Edition phone from the Korean giant has the same price tag as its predecessor.
The Galaxy S24 FE sports 8GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB of storage. The 8GB+128GB variant costs INR 59,999 and the 8GB+256GB variant is priced at INR 65,999.
The base variant isn't in stock at the time of this writing. However, if you order the 8GB+256GB model before October 12, you can get it at the same price as the base variant. Samsung is also offering other benefits, such as Samsung Care+ for a lower price and no-cost EMIs.
Galaxy S24 FE has impressive specs and features
The Galaxy S24 FE is the most feature-packed Fan Edition phone yet. Highlights include a slightly lower-clocked version of the excellent Exynos 2400 chip used in the Galaxy S24 and S24+, larger and brighter display, bigger battery, improved camera quality, and seven years of OS and security updates.
The Galaxy S24 FE's Exynos 2400e chip provides two generations worth of performance gains over the S23 FE, which used 2022's Exynos/Snapdragon chips. It is also much more power efficient and is cooled by a larger vapor chamber. Thanks to all those factors and the 4,700 mAh battery, a 200 mAh bump over the batteries used on previous models, the Galaxy S24 FE should provide excellent battery life.
The S24 FE features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,900 nits of peak brightness. Compared to the S23 FE, the bezels are slimmer, but not by much.
The rear camera setup includes 50MP primary, 12MP ultrawide, and 8MP 3x zoom cameras. At the front, there's a 10MP camera. The camera sensors are the same as the S23 FE, but the S24 FE gets better picture quality thanks to the Exynos 2400e's improved NPU and features like 8K video recording at 30 fps and Super HDR.
Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1 out of the box, seven years of updates
Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1 come preloaded on the Galaxy S24 FE. All the Galaxy AI features Samsung has introduced this year are available on the new Fan Edition phone. The S24 FE will get Android, One UI, and security updates for seven years. The first major OS upgrade—Android 15 and One UI 7.0—will come sometime in the first quarter next year.
Other Galaxy S24 FE specs and features include IP68 water and dust resistance, wireless charging and wireless reverse charging, all the latest connectivity features (except for Wi-Fi 7 and UWB), an in-display fingerprint sensor, a flatter design with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on the front and back.
