Last month, at the MadeByGoogle 2024 Keynote, Google announced Gemini Live, a mode for the Gemini app that allows you to converse in a free-flowing manner with the AI assistant. Back then, the company made it available only for Gemini Advanced users. Well, the brand is now offering it to users who haven’t subscribed to the paid service as well, free of charge.
On X, Google, in a new post, has announced “We're starting to roll out Gemini Live in English to more people using the Android app, free of charge. Go Live to talk things out with Gemini, explore a new topic, or brainstorm ideas. Keep an eye out for Gemini Live in the Gemini app.”
The story continues after the video…
When Google makes Gemini Live available for your account or device, an icon resembling speech will automatically appear in the bottom-right corner of the Gemini app. You can press it to activate the feature and then follow the on-screen instructions. We haven’t received it on our Galaxy S23 in India. It suggests that the company could be rolling out the feature in phases.
