Samsung has launched a new entry-level smartphone, the Galaxy M05, in India. The device was leaked yesterday through Amazon India, revealing most of its features. Now that the phone has launched, its pricing and availability have been revealed.
Galaxy M05 has a MediaTek chip, 50MP camera
The Galaxy M05 is priced at INR 7,999, and it comes in a single color (Mint Green) and just one variant (4GB RAM + 64GB storage). The phone is available for purchase through Amazon India, Samsung India's website, and select retail stores across the country.
The smartphone sports a 6.7-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution. It has a 50MP primary rear camera with an F1.8 aperture and Full HD video recording at 60fps. It also has a 2MP depth sensor on the rear that helps capture images with a background blur effect. It has an 8MP front-facing camera.
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy M05 with the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. A microSD card slot is present for storage expansion. It features a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging.
The device runs Android 14 (One UI Core 6.0) out of the box, and Samsung has promised to offer two major Android OS updates and four years of security patches to the Galaxy M05.
The Galaxy M05 has a dual-SIM card slot (4G + 4G), GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
