It hasn’t even been a month since Samsung released One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy F55, and now, the brand is rolling out another update for the phone. This one brings the June 2026 security patch, which fixes 45 security issues present in the previous firmware, making the phone more secure.
One of the first countries where Samsung is rolling out the update is India. It is 427.24MB in size and carries firmware version E556BXXS5DZF2 (via Galaxy Alerts). You can check its availability for your device and get it by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
Samsung launched the Galaxy F55 in 2024 with One UI 6 (Android 14) and promised to offer it four major OS upgrades. So far, the brand has released three: One UI 7 (Android 15), One UI 8 (Android 16), and as mentioned previously, One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2).
That means the phone is eligible to get one more OS upgrade, which would be the brand’s latest Android customization for Galaxy smartphones, One UI 9.0 (Android 17). The brand is expected to start rolling it out to eligible devices after launching its next foldable phones.
